PUHI has been granted an investment aid from Business Finland of 500 000€ for establishing biochar production in Hämeenlinna. 👏

👉 PUHI has earlier received an environmental permit that enables PUHI to process various wood- and agricultural-based side streams, also with waste status into biochar, district heating, and carbon removal credits.

We are grateful for Business Finland's support and trust in our business model.

The funding instrument is intended for circular economy investments by companies operating in Finland that aim to improve the level of environmental protection beyond EU standards. The funding is also intended to increase waste recycling through solutions above the current level of technological development. The Business Finland Circular economy investments contribute to the development of the circular economy in Finland.

PUHI aims to reach annual carbon removal of 300,000 tons of carbon dioxide by 2035.
